On 5 May 2026, eleven junior form students joined an English x Integrated Science activity titled "English and Science in Harmony: The Mini Ukulele Handicraft Workshop" where they constructed mini ukuleles to explore both English and the physics of acoustics. The students showed great curiosity as they assembled the handicrafts and investigated the scientific principles of sound production, specifically how vibrations and string tension create different pitches. It was an engaging practical session that successfully bridged the gap between musical instruments and core science concepts in a fun and interactive way.
